Things worth watching on your MINI
Earlier Cooper S engines are known for timing chain rattle and carbon buildup; a cold-start rattle deserves attention. Oil leaks and cooling system parts such as water pumps and thermostat housings are common repairs. Keep an eye on the oil level between changes.
