Car, SUV & Truck Repair Near Blue Springs
Blue Springs has no shortage of repair shops. Here's why some Blue Springs drivers make the 15-minute trip east on I-70 to see us instead.
Worth the short drive
From central Blue Springs it's about 10 miles, roughly 15 minutes, to our shop in Oak Grove. What you get for the drive: a shop that diagnoses before it replaces parts, no-pressure recommendations, and being able to talk directly with the owner who's working on your car.
For Blue Springs families and commuters
Blue Springs families bring us minivans, SUVs and commuter cars for oil changes, brakes, A/C repair, check engine lights and suspension work. If you commute on I-70, all those stop-and-go miles near the Adams Dairy and MO-7 interchanges are hard on brakes and tires. We'll tell you honestly how much life is left.
Towing season is hard on trucks
Between Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo in Fleming Park, and the campgrounds and lakes farther out, a lot of Blue Springs trucks spend the summer pulling boats and campers. Towing puts extra heat into transmissions and cooling systems and wears brakes faster. Before the season starts, it's worth having us look at:
- Cooling system: coolant condition, hoses, fan clutch and radiator. Heat problems are common on loaded trucks, gas or diesel.
- Brakes on the truck, plus trailer brakes, bearings and wiring.
- Transmission fluid condition and leaks.
- Tires with the right load rating for what you pull.
Pulling with a diesel? We're good with those too. See diesel repair.
Route from Blue Springs
- Get on I-70 East: Exit 20 (MO-7) or Exit 21 (Adams Dairy Pkwy) are the usual on-ramps.
- Continue east past Grain Valley to Exit 28 (Route F / Route H – Oak Grove).
- Take Broadway St south about half a mile and turn left on SE 10th St.
- We're a quarter mile down on the right, at 405 SE 10th St.
Headed the other way after work? The westbound on-ramp at Exit 28 puts you back toward Blue Springs in minutes.
I took my truck into the shop for an AC repair. The owner, Drew, did a quick assessment and identified the blend door as defective. He walked me through the repairs needed and provided them timely and efficiently. He was great at communicating with me through the whole process and provided great service at a fair and reasonable price. He runs a clean shop and provides superior service. He even took the time to follow up with me a few days later to make sure I was satisfied and that all was working well. I really appreciated his speed, honesty, reliability, and attention to detail. Great mechanic, great shop, great owner, and great customer service!
