Your drivetrain carries power from the transmission to the wheels: driveshafts, U-joints, carrier bearings, differentials and axles. On trucks, and especially trucks that tow, these parts work hard. Catching wear early can keep a U-joint replacement from turning into a driveshaft and yoke repair.
Signs of drivetrain trouble
- A clunk when shifting into drive or reverse, or when getting on and off the throttle
- Vibration that increases with speed
- Whining, howling or grinding from the rear (or front) differential
- Gear oil leaking from the differential cover or pinion seal
- Squeaking from the driveshaft area at low speed
- Clicking or binding when turning (4x4 front ends; see axles)

Very good people, they break down what's going on and why. It makes the world of a different to me. Edit: Very reliable shop had another issue after the throttle positioning sensor went down ( they fixed ) not only did they fix basically my entire rear end rebuilt they did it at a reasonable price.
